Welcome to our reading page, here you'll find out about the books we're enjoying, how we are developing a love of reading, and what we're doing to celebrate special events.
'The Witches', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and ' George's Marvellous Medicine' by Roald Dahl.
Roald Dahl is one of Britain's most beloved children's authors, so we have decided to use three of his many works in our Literacy and other subjects this half term.
We have been reading the gripping tale of Roald Dahl's witches, learning about their features (how to spot them!) and what they do if they catch you (beware!). We used this information to write our non-chronological reports to help warn other children around the world about what's lurking out there.
BOY FINDS LAST GOLDEN TICKET! We must spread the news, Charlie's hit a stroke of luck and we're using our news reporting skills to write newspapers to spread the news. Watch out Rupert Murdoch!
George is great at whipping up marvellous medicines, but terrible at remembering how he did it. We will be using our bossy side and telling him how to make it with our instructions. Get ready George!
